During this Easter Season…

During this Easter Season…

Peeps are candies  shaped into chicks, bunnies, and other animals used primarily to fill Easter baskets.” So, it is fair to say that peeps are icons that were incorporated as part of Easter tradition in the United States and Canada. There are a couple of other traditions and icons that we all remember at this time of the year too. During Easter time, a number of us will probably remember to go to church on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Moreover, a number of us will probably see and recognize two important Easter icons–the cross and the tomb. What is the significance of the cross and tomb? What kind of religious icons are they? For that matter, are they simple Easter Icons?  During this Easter season, we want to invite you to join us for our Good Friday and Easter Sunday worship experiences as we will explore the significance of the cross and the tomb beyond Easter season and religious icons.
